Irvin Bullbars has been proudly involved with the emergency services in our area for more than 30 years. We work alongside St John Ambulance Western Australia – a service that covers the largest area of any single ambulance service in the world. We also work with DFES, WA Fire Brigade and the State Emergency Service.
We are pleased to be able to share our expertise and to create strong, lasting bullbars for the emergency services. There are currently 162 St John Ambulance locations in WA with ambulance stations peppered throughout the entire area. The ambulances and workers provide our communities with a vital service, so they need their vehicles to be protected in case of an animal strike or when driving in difficult terrain.
In the case of the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES), their work is critical to the people of WA. The DFES coordinates emergency services for different categories of natural disasters and emergency life and property-threatening incidents. Comprising of more than 1,600 corporate staff and operational personnel as well as over 27,000 volunteers DFES relies heavily on their vehicles that we design bullbars for.
We work in tandem with emergency service engineers to design barwork for their vehicles. Emergency services are usually the first responders to a call out, so they need to get to get to the site of an incident ASAP, hence the fitment of vehicle frontal protection systems (bullbars). Barwork is also sometimes used for the fitment of auxiliary requirements including lighting, spray hoses and sirens.
We custom-make each and every bar to requirements. All emergency services bars are based on our tried and tested Irvin Bullbar design. We are experts in the design and manufacture of alloy bullbars.
